PERC 5/E firmware upgrade

Couple of things:

1. Make sure you have SP2 for 2003 installed.

2. Make sure your driver is up-to-date first:

3. Make sure your BIOS and ESM are up-to-date:

I,m sorry the server is a PE2850. The 2950 is where I got the PERC 5/E card from. Do you have the files for the PE 2850?

Do you have SP2 installed?  Is this 32-bit or 64-bit 2003?  R1 or R2?  Anything else special/odd about your installation of 2003?

The BIOS and ESM/BMC installs fine. After a reboot when I go to run the driver it comes back with "The update package is not compatible with your system configuration" . I have a snapshot of the error message if that would help. any thoughts?

Yes SP2 is installed. It is Windows 2003 Std R2 32 bit. The card was working before I Updated the MD3000 it connects to from GEN I to GEN II. After the upgrade the server was rebuilt and the drivers would not install.  MDSM is loaded and working fine(Out of band). I have posted the error message under files.

Hmm ... I can't think of anything else right off, but I'll think on it.  Maybe someone else with more experience with the storage systems has seen something similar.

The current firmware is really old 00.10.49.00.06.12.02.00 I think. Do you think I need to update it to a newer firmware before I do the final update? Is there a way to see what in the configuration is in compatible?
