How to check last driver/firmware update

Hi all, how can I check when a Dell PE 6850 had its last driver & firmware upgrade?

About all you can do is look at the Application Event logs, look for Dell or DUP. you can also look for a folder (assuming Windows) called Dell\updates to see if the log files for the last updates are there.

you can also download the SUU 6.5.1 which was the last one to support the 6850, and it will compare what you have to what the last updates were. www.dell.com/.../poweredge-6850

NOTE: you have to dnload all 3 iso segments and concatenate them into one iso using this command in Windows, see the "Additional Information" section for a bit more detail

Windows: copy /b om* om651_suu_a00.iso

Here's another query around this. The read me file has supported operating system section (see below);

Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

* Microsoft(R) Windows Server(R) 2003 R2 Web, Standard and Enterprise

 Editions with SP2 (32-bit x86)

* Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard, Enterprise, and Datacenter

 x64 Editions with SP2

* Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, Enterprise, and Datacenter

 x64 Editions with SP2

* Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Core Standard, Enterprise, and Datacenter

 Editions (x64) with SP2

* Microsoft Windows Essential Business Server 2008 Standard and Premium

 Editions (x64) with SP1

* Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard and Premium

 Editions

* Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Express, Workgroup, Standard,

 and Enterprise Editions

* Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Compute Cluster Edition and Microsoft

 Windows Server 2008 R2 HPC Edition

The server I have is Dell PE 6850 with Windows 2003 x86 SP2. I cant see the exact OS version listed. The first line has 2003 R2 Web, standard & enterprise but which got me confused. Is it R2 web, R2 standard & R2 Enterprise or just R2 for Web? Seems I got the better of Dell documentation but I have to be sure.

I noticed that SUU 6.3 clearly indicates the OS which is 2003 Enterprise SP2 x86

No R2 confusion in  supported OS check list

Thanks for validating, this means that the SUU 6.3 is the right match for my server, Dell should focus on documentation to simplify version identification
