Driver downloads for PCI serial port & PCI simple communication controller
Can someone please send me the correct links for driver downloads for Dell Optiflex 755 desktop as my drivers are missing? I'm running Windows 8.1 64-bit. I've looked on the internet but cannot find anything. Please help.

Thanks for your suggestions. The PCI serial port driver & PCI simple communications controller driver are missing. I receive a scrambled picture when I try to transfer video via USB converter. Please help!

You might have to download XP or Vista drivers. I couldn't find driver support for Win8.1. In the list of drivers is Dell Command Update. Might be worth a try to see where that takes you.
When there used to be support for Win7, I used Dell Support Assist to download any necessary drivers. I think Dell Command Update works on the same premise.
I was hoping to find a drivers cab file, but couldn't. That allows downloading all necessary drivers at once.
Something that might also help - What drivers do you have missing or what isn't working?

There are no WIN7, 8, 10 drivers.
Generic Drivers for newer PE models exist

However the WDDM 1.0 drivers for Vista work fine.
You are missing the chipset drivers.
The pci serial is the INTEL AMT HECI SOL driver.
This is Chipset Drivers

Wow! Thanks. Will both of these work on Dell Optiplex 755 desktop? When I download them how do I add them to the missing drivers in device manager or are they added automatically after download?

Thanks! Should I download all 3 ? Would this be the cause of the scrambled picture with lines & blocks when I transfer video from analogue to digital via USB converter?

This driver is REQUIRED the other 2 eliminate the PCI Serial Driver Yellow ! in device manager.
DRVR_WIN_R302424.EXE
Intel G31/G33/Q33/Q35 Graphics is needed to clear up the video.

I'm still confused. Are these the only 2 drivers I need to download? Where do I install them in device manager, please?

Yes and remember to choose "run." Upon memory, I've downloaded chipset and graphics drivers before and they automatically kick in (Win7).
I was thinking of a driver cab file before when I mentioned that you might have to right click on any yellow triangles in device manager.

EXE files are run as administrator. They are not "installed" into device manager.

'No' to the first 2 questions. After downloading, you would right click on any yellow triangles in Device Manager and choose to update from PC. Speedstep might still need to explain it better than I can.

Thanks. After the downloads I update device manager under PCI serial where the yellow triangles are & nowhere else in device manager. Must I download all 5 exe files?

Upon further thought (I don't download .exe files every day) it should give the option to "run" or "save" at the bottom of the screen. Choose "run."

Unfortunately none of the downloads will install. I did run as administrator, but the setup would not complete. Similar error messages . One of the exe file was corrupt . So no joy there. Maybe not compatible with Windows 8.1. So I tried the USB video converter software on my laptop. Started off well & it worked in the beginning, but then the video started scrambling as it did before & just got worse. Maybe the USB capture software is at fault.
