broken reset switch on my wireless linksys router... need help

Ok  heres the deal...the other day my cable went out..  so I got annoyed with my linksys Wireless-Broadband Router...(model BEFW11S4) and pressed the reset button too hard, collasping the thing inside the unit...  My question is, is there a dos command to reset these things? Or any other way to reset these routers? I am running windows xp, and am on cox cable.  I am using my other router,,  one port and a 8port hub on my network... maybe, perhaps I can run the wireless off the hub and reset from the 1 port router?   Anyhow,  any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

My question is, is there a dos command to reset these things? Or any other way to reset these routers?

The BEFW11S4 can be reset to the factory default settings via the Web interface. Note the warning, though, on the page describing resetting via the Web interface (Page 27 in the Version 4 manual):

" Do not restore the factory defaults unless you are having difficulties with the
Router and have exhausted all other troubleshooting measures. Once the Router
is reset, you will have to re-enter all of your configuration data.

Yes, thats true...   I will try that ...(again?) lol   I think I tried that with no success...Umm   thanks for the quick response...  Oh and the reason I asked about the dos command is someone was telling me about a command.. something like re=set  or something ..  When I talk to him again Ill ask him,.,,  and if its a valid command,  I'll come back and let you know...  but as usual, I probably misinterpeted him

There are only two ways to rest the router and both have been mentioned.  My guess is that thet reset button may have become lodged inside the case and is resetting constantly.

It may be time to drag out a screwdriver and opne the case to see what is happening.

Yep, my mistake about any commands resetting the router...   hopeful wishing I guess..  and when I shake the router.. I can hear something rattling around in there now. lol  It's broke for sure lol...  at least for now I have my old router, so Im ok for now.   I think Ill  do what you suggested and tear it apart.. see what damage I did to it..see if I can fix it.. I really appreciate you helping me.. Nice to know there's people out there that like to help others... Thanks again.
