Internet Connection Problem - Virgin Media Broadband

Hi,

I've had no internet for almost a fortnight now - I had asumed the problem was with my ISP, but after hours on the phone with them, they're adamant everything is OK their end, so I need some help to check if something's gone wrong with my PC.

I've got a Dell Inspiron 530 running Vista and am connecting to Virgin Media Broadband via my TV set-top box.

(I initially thought the problem was caused by a dodgy McAfee update as the timing was right, but have followed their instruction to run a fix and have since completely removed the software and reinstalled from disk - a coincidence maybe)

The network diagnostics that I normally rely on to solve minor glitches just says it cannot connect with Primary DNS server and asks me to "reset the network adapter Local Area Connection" and that doesn't change anything.

My PC seems to recognise that it's connected to a "network", but then has local-only connectivity.

I did the ipconfig/all mentioned in another post and got the following:

I would be grateful for any suggestions as I'm fairly PC literate, but not at all confident altering settings that could seriously affect how my PC works.

Thanks
