Best laptop for transcription

I am thinking about an Inspiron E1505 to do my medical transcription on.  I have Dell desktop, 2002 with Windows XP Home Edition and use an FTP site to download the voice files and transfer them over to Express Scribe to listen to them and then type in Corel Wordperfect.   I plan on transfering all info from the desktop to the laptop.  Best way to do this?  Any advice on this would be helpful.

my sister uses a i1000 to do medical transcriptioning. the one u thinking of buying is good. As for the files on your old desktop i would either burn the files to cdr or email them to yourself then download them onto the laptop. good luck

Thanks so much.  I didn't even think of emailing them to myself!
