PowerConnect 3024 reset through SNMP

We tried to issue a reset command through the SNMP agent on a Powerconnect 3024.  We set the miscReset MIB variable to 1 (reset).  We received a timeout from our SNMP manager on the set.  We can query the value and get 2 (noop).  We checked the SNMP manager private password to make sure it matched what was configured in the switch and that it had set permissions.  If we go through the Powerconnect web interface, we are able to reset the switch.  Any thoughts?
