IBM Ultrium TD3 tape driver

I'm trying to track down answers to a couple of questions regarding the minimum and recommended revision of tape drivers for IBM Ultrium TD3 (LT03) tape drives.

The configuration is;

- Fibre attached libraries to a SAN
- Quantum i500 physical tape library with the above mentioned drives
- EMC EDL4100 VTL emulating a Quantum i2000 library with the above mentioned drives
- Backup server is Networker V7.4.2 Buld 436 running on Windows 2003 SP1
- DSN's with zoned access to the above libraires/drives
- DSN's runHP-UX V11 V2 & V3

According to EMC V7.4.4 release notes the recommended IBM Atape drive is V6.1.7.6 for Windows hosts. For HP-UX the release notes only indicate V6.0.0.76 for HP-UX V11 V3, no indication for V11 V2.

Question1:
The IBM ftp site provides a Windows certified driver package (v6.1.8.0) which includes a tape driver. So this is one way to go but does not appear to be the most recent certified driver package. There is also posted a v6.1.8.9 driver package but it appears to not contain a tape driver (only a medium changer). I only have a production environment so can't test whether this second driver package does in fact contain a tape driver. Has anyone had any experience on this and/or can make recommendations?

Question2:

For HP-UX V2 has anyone got any recommendations around the minium driver revision that should be used and well as the recommended revision.

Thanks

On HPUX (both v2 and v3) I used latest atdd driver whenever I had to use it with IBM drives.
