Rendering that message would be nice... It seems to suggest that you did get some sort of trouble during SG4 backup... the error code is not 0 thus nothing gets truncated which is expected. What version and build of NME do you run? Also, do you find any additional data in event log?
The NetWorker Module for Exchange does not truncate the transaction logs, but Exchange does.
If you try a backup with ntbackup, I'm pretty sure you will get the same error message. The error message is coming from Exchange, maybe there are some problems with the database.
If ntbackup also fails to truncate the logs and gives you the same error message, talk to your Exchange adminstrator to find out if eseutil or isinteg could be used to resolve the problem, or contact Microsoft Support.
