SX2210T Touch Screen Feature with Dual Monitors
Fix found by user ES128 for dual monitor touch -
I just set up a dual monitor configuration with a SX2210T and a ST2220T on Windows 7. I got the touch features working properly on both. At first, touching either one was reflecting input only on the primary (whichever one was set as primary at the time), but after messing with the settings I got it working the way I wanted. I tried several things, but I think the right thing to do is to go into the Tablet PC Settings window from the control panel and press the Setup button next to "Configure your pen and touch displays". It asks you to touch each screen and you are done. 2-point multi-touch working on each monitor, although not both simultaneously. At some point I switched which one would be treated as primary, and that caused the touches on one monitor to reflect on the other and vice versa. Following the same steps as above again straightened it out.
Touchscreen Troubleshooting -
* Disconnect the 2nd monitor from the PC. Restart the PC so it only shows one monitor in the Device Manager. Depending on your operating system, load the following -
SX2210T Driver (Windows 7 only)
SX2210T Touch Application
SX2210T Touch Cam
SX2210T Facial Recognition Application (not needed, only if you want it)
* Test the Touch Screen Feature on the single monitor.

I have the 2220 sort of laying down in front of the 2210 so it looks like I have a gigantic version of the Acer Iconia laptop with the two screens.

I have had nothing but problems with this. I have windows 7 have all the latest drivers but the touch screen facility drops out after a few minutes and the only way to get this back is to unplug its usb connection and replug it. I then get touch screen for a few minutes and then it drops out again. I have a samsung display in my loft with the dell downs stairs connected by hdmi and usb. I am duplicating both displays.
Please advise how to resloved this as I am now to the point when i will be taking it back to where i purchased it.
many thanks

Test the monitor USB cable on all of the other PC USB ports. Does the issue persist on all of them?

Get it replaced. If the replacement has the same issue, the fault lies with your PC.

Thanks ES128 for your clue! It worked for me after playing little bit with different options in Windows 7 OS. In addition to use as 2nd monitor (secondary), I am also able to simulate the right click button option identical to the mouse. To enable it this is what I did, Control Panel -> Pen and Touch -> Touch (tab on top) -> Check the option at the bottom for "Touch pointer - Show the touch pointer when I'm interacting with items on the screen" -> Ok. After that my 2nd monitor ST2220T on my Dell Latitude laptop works like a charm for visual keyboard, writing pad and L|R click of the mouse! Hence, I would claim that multi-touch screen feature of the ST2220T monitor works for irrespective of monitor settings as a primary or secondary.

That's awesome!!! This is finally working for me now!
That little bit of fiddling and fine tuning the touch seems to work in Windows 8 as well.
This is my second set of Dell touchscreens. These are amazing.
Dell....This needs to work out of the box.

Do the calibration and monitor swap (primary) like described below and this works great now.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I've been fighting with this issue for hours today with my dual 2340T monitors. This works well. We'll see how it works after rebooting, changing to a different machine, etc
