P2419H, dual PC setup for work from home

Hello-

I am setting up my two P2419H monitors to my home CPU via DP and VGA cables.  Then using DP and HDMI going to a Thunderbolt to hook up my laptop and work remotely.  Once I log into my laptop and plug into the Thunderbolt, I just change the input settings on my monitors and it works nice.  My question is, when I am not using the Thunderbolt/laptop, the monitor with the hdmi is constantly switching from DP and searches for hdmi and turns off.  I then have to press the buttons to adjust the input back to DP.  Is there a way to fix this by arranging the priority of the inputs?  Thanks.
