No digital input
For some reason I can no longer use the digital input on my 19" flat panel monitor (I think it is model 1907). I have to use the analog input and that makes the screen blurry. One time I saw that the digital input had gone into powersave mode. Is that possible?

What type of connection are you using - i.e. a DVI - DVI cable, or a VGA - DVI adapter/dongle?
Have you tried a different cable?

I have not tried a new cable yet. No idea which one to replace. I also am not able to tell you what sort of connection I am using. But VGA looks familiar. What can I look at that would help you?

I've just re-read your first post, and you're having problems with both VGA (analogue) and DVI (digital), so I doubt very much it's a cable problem, since you'll have had to use two different cables (VGA and DVI)?
This is what a VGA/analogue connection looks like: (click for larger)
This is what a DVI connection looks like: (click for larger)
If you can confirm you have display problems (i.e. the picture on the screen doesn't look right) with either cable, then I'd suggest the problem could be with your graphics card?
The only way to confirm that though, would be to try a different graphics card, which is why I've suggested trying another cable first.

I have the same problem on my 2405FPW after restoring my HP m7780n to factory Vista Home. It used to "flash" (sync problem?) when first booting but display OK once Windows was loaded. Now I can not even get a display when attempting to boot in Safe mode. I am able to boot in Safe if I connect S-video. The HP has an NVidia GEForce 7600 and has no VGA option. It does have two digital ports.

As I rethought this problem it dawned on me that there is no Vista software offered for this device, yet it used to work on this HP workstation (before the Vista rebuild). I have searched for, and cannot find the disk which originally came with the 2405.
Another complication is that Vista does not offer me the option to change the installed monitor. Device manager does not even show a "monitor" entry. Only the NVidia line is available. Therefore I cannot "update the monitor driver", I must have an executable such as the one provided on the original software disk.
Does anyone know how I can obtain a new disk or download the necessary software?
Thanx,
