LCD 1704 FPT displaying analog input

Question

I bought trhough Costco a Dell dimension 4700 that came with a LCD flat panel 1704FPT. When I turn the computer on the monitor says ' 2: digital input, unable to display video mode. When I press the floating self test it display ' 1: analog input self test feature check ' screen. I'm using the DVI conections, the images are slightly blurry and text is displayed with some grayish or transparent texture and the pixels are very apparent or larger. Any help or comment? Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

Here are some things to try and resolve the issue with the monitor.

Push Auto adjust button
Adjust Phase and Clock controls via OSD
Eliminate video extension cables
Perform monitor reset
Lower video resolution or increase font size

I tried them all and it didn't change. Still displaying: Analog Input. Any other suggestion? Thnks Oscarpt
