Fuzzy vertical lines appearing on my computer screen

Hi. I need some help as I have 4 thick vertical columns of fuzzy lines on my screen. I am using a 17” Dell tft ultrasharp screen. I don’t know what the problem is and it is really annoying. If anybody knows what the problem is and how I can fix it that would be great. Thank you

I also get many fuzzy vertical lines on my 24" Dell when I use its VGA input at max resolution. I go through a computer switch so that might explain it.
 
Try a lower resolution and/or frequency, or update your graphics card driver, or try another card, or time to replace the monitor.
