D6000, HP L2275w, input signal out of range

I have a Dell Docking station which I love and it works great. But I've changed monitors around to accomodate my spouse.

I'd like to use the DisplayPort to connect my older 13 year old HP LP2275w monitor. It will not work, the display will error that it's given the wrong input and will turn off. It should receive 1680x1050 (60Hz) as set in Windows, but instead it's receiving 1726x1050 (60Hz), which is outside the specs.

It works with other monitors at home (BenQ, Asus, Dell) although not all support DisplayPort.

I've tried reaching the Dell representatives in The Netherlands, but they are unwilling to help me without Servicetag. There is no service tag on my device (see below), but it is manufactured on nov. 2019 and sold in the EU.

My problem seems identical to the problem in the following thread:

@St_Michiel  It seems a recent Intel Graphics driver update created a conflict with the DisplayLink drivers used by the D6000. DisplayLink has a fix with newer software available directly on their site. If you haven’t already, get the latest software directly from them at DisplayLink.com.

Hello Jphughan< Thanks for the link, however this didn't fix my problem.

I updated the Intel graphics drivers (already latest version) and downloaded the driver program from DisplayLink. This updated the drivers to 10.1.2762.0 (dated 11 May 2021). I restarted the laptop afterwards. The monitor is correctly identified as 1680x1050 but the D600 universal dock still outputs 1726x1050. I've changed the background and there is a black band visible (around 46 pixels wide) to the right of the desktop.

What I also tested was:

- Rotating the display, no change other than the orientation of the inner part.
- Changing the desktop to a smaller resolution, ex. 800x600, still the same 1726x1050 output was generated. As a result, the image became blurry because of the upscaling.
- I didn't mention this in my original post, but I did try the other DisplayPort as well.
- The display functions correctly with HDMI to DVI cable connected to the D6000 dock.

How can I get support when the unit doesn't have a service tag?

I have not yet found a solution. It probably has to do with DisplayLink didn't add this particular resolution (1680x1050 which is 16:10 ratio and defined as WSXGA) to their table and is unable to load this "odd" one. There is no monitor that I could find that uses 1726x1050 wide screen, so I'm curious how the driver works.
