1704FPT refresh rate
Hi
i use the resolution 1152X864, can my monitor use 100 hz? or it doesn't support it?
well i use a program call reforce, which lock the refresh rate, when i click on auto populate, it show that in any resolution, my monitor cannot display more then 70 hz.
So my question is, if i use 100 hz, will it cost problem to my LCD monitor? I also play counter-strike at 800X600 using 100 hz, is this refresh rate acceptable for the monitor?
OS : Windows XP
Vid card: 128 X300
Monitor 1704FPT
and is there any new drivers for this monitor?
also,
when i push the button menu on my monitor, the funtion positioning, image settings and audio are grey, that mean i can't pick them. Why can't I check those setting?

epsil0n,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
Click the link to view the online manual for this monitor and view the specs on refresh rates. Do you have the sound bar connected to this monitor?

LCD monitors are unlike CRT monitors. The LCD does not refresh itself like the CRT's, its aways on, and the 60 hz is best for the monitor. You won't get a better picture trying to mess with this setting, and infact, you might mess things up. Also, the LCD in which you have, have a native resolution for the best viewing, and that is 1280 x 1024.
