SSD Drive visible on Device Manager, but not on My Computer or Disk Management Windows 7
Generic HDD USB = mSATA SSD
I've read a previous thread on this fix for this, tried it and it didn't work.
The Generic HDD USB Device is a brand new VisionTek 240GB mSATA mounted in a Dell mSATA to SATA sled and is inside of an Orico USB enclosure. I'm unable to initialize and format this disk ... please help!

I'm going to assume that you want me to reconnect the USB (mSATA) enclosure and then take a snapshot of Disk Management?

You have a brand new mSATA and I want to see what Disk Management shows.
What is USB DISK 3.0 USB Device ?
Which previous threads on this topic?
apparently that caddy doesn't work in USB enclosure

Previous thread:
https://www.dell.com/community/Inspiron/SSD-Drive-visible-on-Device-Manager-but-not-on-My-Computer/td-p/7417479
The USB Disk 3.0 Device is a PNY 128GB Elite-X Fit USB 3.2 thumb drive used for back-ups.
I'll take a snapshot of Disk Management while the enclosure is attached and post it tomorrow.
As for the mSATA to SATA Dell sled, your thread says that Device Manager does not see it. It DOES see it on mine, pictured above.
BTW .. Latitude is incorrect, laptop is an ASUS G55VW. It does have a dedicated mSATA port on the MB, but I'd literally have to disassemble the whole machine to get to it. Really wanna slap ASUS for not creating a simple cover plate for easy access to it cuz it's right next to my Seagate 2.5" SSD. The other option for testing is to use my DVD SATA connection but I would need a wiring harness for that.
Will post image of Disk Management tomorrow.

Disk Management
Shows as Disk 3 at the bottom.
Disk 2 is a micro card
Disk 1 is the PNY
Disk 0 is the Seagate SSD

The drive is blank. It needs to be partitioned and formatted.

Okay, so I managed to assign a drive letter to it, seen below.
Disk 0 = Seagate SSD (C & D)
Disk 1 = PNY USB 3.2 (G)
Disk 2 = VisionTek mSATA in Dell SATA sled inside of the 2.5" Orico enclosure (F)
Disk 3 = MicroSD card (H)
CD-Rom 0 = DVD/RW (E)

Yes I know that, but how if it's not visible?
Up top ... it's not shown, only the bottom 0-3 disks.
Top it's 0-2 disks.

The only solution left is a cmd ... but I don't know how.
I can't initialize or format Disk 2 (F) using Disk Management ... the option just isn't there.

I still don't understand why the Dell sled won't work?
And I might get the same results from a new adapter cuz it still has to be mounted in an enclosure since it's not initialized or formatted.
I considered buying the Sabrent before the Dell, but opted for the Dell cuz it was so inexpensive. The Sabrent is reasonable too, but I figured the Dell would work just as well.
Does anyone at Dell have any real answers as to why their sled doesn't work?

I'm going to add to this closed thread that I created for future reference if anyone else buys one of these sleds and can't get it to function. These Dell sleds just don't work, they're either defective or proprietary.
I bought an inexpensive adapter from China directly for a measly $2 HERE and it works flawlessly. This cheap adapter took about 40 days to arrive, but it was worth the wait.
