Latitude 12 drive upgrade

Is the ssd drive in the latitude 12 7275 the same type of drive as the one in the xps 12? I have an xps 12 that I had upgraded to a larger ssd and it is broken beyond repair. Instead of replacing it, I was thinking of getting the latitude 12 instead. So I was wondering if I could use the drive to upgrade the drive in the 7275.

That will be an M.2 PCIe model that the newer system can take.

It doesn't look too difficult to change out the drive in this model.

Unfortunately, no -- the older XPS 12 (9Q23 and 9Q33) used mSATA SSDs.  The new models use PCIe/NVMe -- though the form factor is similar, the two are not interchangeable.

There are vendors who sell external adapters for mSATA drives -- if you purchase one of those, you can use the SSD from the older system as an external device.

I forgot to mention that the xps 12 is one of the newer 9250 models
