change cpu studio 1745
hello I have a studio 1745 with the number of( Service Tag Removed As per Privacy Policy ) like to know what processor I can use with this equipment. has a 2.2 core 2 duo. I would like to know the fastest or which are all available models.

If you don't have a warranty, you CAN upgrade the CPU. You must use a Core2 -- you can't use the newer Core i. Avoid the Extreme Editions and look for a CPU that draws NO MORE power the one you have.
Also -- don't expect miracles. You may be able to get a 10% boost but you won't be seeing a dramatic increase in performance with any CPU upgrade.
If you want more speed, a more cost-effective upgrade is a solid state or hybrid drive.
