XPS 13 9350

Hi,

Can someone tell me exactly which versions of the 9350 include a TPM? The website doesn't say and there are no customisation options to explicitly state that I want one.

This is such a critical thing for Bitlocker, that it ought to be specified up front.

The Motherboards that contain the TPM chip are out of stock, so we are waiting on them becoming available again. You can still order 9350's, just without the TPM Motherboards.

If you need the Motherboard with the TPM chip speak to your account manager or if you don't have an account manager speak to a sales agent who will be able to keep you updated when they'll be available again and you can then place the order.

I don't think you'll find that any current XPS systems include a TPM -- if you want that option, you'll need a Latitude or Precision model.

This has been the case for some time now.

Hi GaryW1972,

9350's with TPM chips are unavailable for purchase at the moment. They'll be available again soon though. I've not got any dates for when, so all I can suggest is keep checking the website or speak to Sales or your Account Manager

They do as we bought one a few weeks ago, but I can't say for definite which variations do and which don't.

Can someone please update the website around this?

Companies are increasingly buying XPS models in preference to Latitudes because of the size and styling (plus Dell have never changed the E-Port replicator since moving the port on the Latitude [the $10 plastic spacer is crude and laughable]).

This is something that Dell are aware of due to the latest models being added into the Enterprise client catalog. TPMs or at least Intel PTT are critical for businesses and Dell failing to either supply them by default or making it explicitly clear which models do and don't contain them is a massive omission.
