Watching a DVD

Hey..

Watching a DVD on the WUXGA.. Is it totally beautiful?  I'm waiting on mine to come in!!

Arggh the delay!

Its really good, I only wish it was more than an 8x DVD in my setup.....

hmm, why if the dvd only plays back at x1?

Good thing you got the WUXGA. Alot of people have posted having DVD playback problems when in full screen but I think it only affects WSXGA.

I have the WSXGA screen and I find that everything is fine whilst playing DVDs back in full screen. What type of problems does the WSXGA screen meant to have?

So..  Those of you with the widescreen (W-----) monitors..  How do wide-screen DVD's fit?  Is there just an inkling of the black bars (above & below) present on the screen?  Can anyone take a picture of the widescreen laptop playing a dvd?

I imagine there will be black bars on screen on some movies. I have a 57in wide screen TV and I get them.
