Wanted:XPS 13 9360 Synaptics Touchpad Firmware

Hi guys, I was trying to mess around with the touchpad driver on my new bought xps 13.

I tried with the latest driver on Synaptics website, but it didn't help much.

Then I found a driver on dell website that turned out to be a firmware update. Its for the 2015 version xps 13 so its outdated. I tried it anyways, and then the touchpad stopped working.

Right now the device manager cannot even detect my touchpad, and the firmware version shows from firmware update software changed from 2xxxxx to unknown.

It would be much appreciated if someone can give me the latest/compatible touchpad firmware for dell xps 13 9360. The executive file called SynReflash.exe, and it comes with mup file and package file.

I have the same problem. the touchpad is still visable in the device manager but under the tab " View -> show hidden devices" I contacted dell support trough e-mail but only got the question how it happened.

I hope to get the firmware to and hope they fix the problem so not more people make the same mistake.

I do have a few suggestions here:

Click on link below and search for a touchpad Synaptics driver for your computer.

Please click on link below and stroll down until you see a list of touch pad drivers. The list and link are from one of the forum's rock stars - natakuc4):

Dell doesn't list any Synaptics touchpad driver on your (XPS 9360) support page.

I'm assuming you had some type of generic touchpad driver from the windows updates - Microsoft), and somehow it was uninstalled ?

Great thanks for the replys. However in this case, it should be the firmware which can fix it, not a driver.

The first thing I tried was installing whatever compatible drivers I can find on the market, but since it cant even detect the hardware, none of them workd. Its like the hardware was never.there. I think the only way to reactivate the touchpad is to reinstall the proper firmware that builds in in the touchpad motherboard. However its hard to find the proper firmware for thr latest xps model.

Sorry to hear that. Have you fixed this issue or you finally had to replace the unit?

I think you probably did the same thing as I did, reflash the wrong synaptics firmware. the latest version is supposed to be 2xxxxxx, but the firmware I flashed was 16xxxxx and 18xxxxx. Hope dell will release the newest firmware for xps 13 9360 touchpad. To be honest, this is my first time knowing that there is actually a firmware flashed in the touchpad hardware!

Anyways, I will return the unit and hopefully get a better deal on BlackFriday!
