Voice through Headphones substantially lower then everything else.

I am having an issue with my audio playback through my headphones. All the sound is good, crisp, and clear, except when it comes to voice's. The voice over's are very very quiet and I'm having a hard time hearing it because I'll turn up the volume but then the rest of the sound turns up as well. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I don't have a definitive answer. Try re-installing the Realtek audio driver or installing a fresh copy of it.

Try disabling all sound effects from the Enhancements tab of the Speaker properties.

Try using the generic audio driver instead of the Realtek driver.

If using the Windows driver solves the problem then the problem is caused by the Realtek driver. If it doesn't solve the problem then it might be in the hardware.

Hello. What is the full model name and the operating system of your laptop?

When you say "voices", are you listening to music or videos, dvd's, streaming, or off the hard drive?

xps15z and windows 7, and on music and off youtube, say i was watching someone talk about a video game review and they were playing some clips in the background, the sound effects from the video are much louder then the voice through the headphones, but when i unplug the headphones, the voice is the same if not louder then the sound effects that way i can actually here what the guy is saying

Did you try second headphone or have you ever connected your headphone to a different laptop/desktop?

There is a tiny  possibility that a broken headphone ground wire could exactly cause your problem.

Before I give any further explanation - just try it and make sure that the headphones are NOT the problem!

I forgot to mention that a broken headphone connector on the mainboard (loose ground connection) could create the same effect.....
