Specific key on keyboard not working

Hi all, I'm new to this dell forum, i would like to get some advise from you all. Basically i having specific key on the keyboard that not working at all(laptop Inspiron 15R N5110). I even have replaced with a new keyboard, also try to use usb external keyboard and update the BIOS version, the problem still exist. 

 But there is no problem when i typing by using on screen keyboard. The affected key is letter of "k"...please help me...thanks...

Hi MIKEYEE70,

Does the "k" key work on the external keyboard or not? 

Was the system dropped? Is there any liquid spillage on the system?

If you have replaced the keyboard and if this keyboard works fine on another machine, then the keyboard controller might have failed and the motherboard needs to be replaced.

If it is only the letter "k" key not functioning, you could remap the "k" to some key you do not use on the keyboard - http://bit.ly/2pir7eg
