Sharp Aquos TV cuts off display when connected to laptop

Hello-

I have a Dell Latitude E5520 and the video adapter is an Intel HD Graphics 3000. When I connect my laptop to a Sharp AQUOS television via an HDMI cable, the screen appears but is a little large so that the taskbar and the edges of the screen from my laptop are cut off about half.

I checked numerous settings but could not find a way for it to display the screen properly on the television.
