Setting up Dual External Monitors

I have a 2-year old Latitude E5500, Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family (Mobile Intel(R) GMAX4500HD) Adapter, and the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Mobile.  I have it set up for an extended desktop using the laptop screen for the 2nd screen, but want to set it up for an extended desktop in Windows XP with two external monitors.  I have the laptop docked, so I have 2 VGA hookups, one on the dock and one on the laptop. I cannot get the computer to recognize the external monitor as the second monitor, just the laptop screen.  Any idea how I can set this up and what, if any, hardware I need to achieve it?

I have absolutely no idea how to do that.  Could you help me out?

In order to have two external monitors, you must disable the internal display panel.  The integrated graphics chip can only drive two displays simultaneously.

Check the settings for the display adapter - there is usually Intel software on the system (in the control panel) for managing the displays.
