SIM CARD SLOT
My dell xps L401X is having a slot for SIM Card. What type of SIM can be used. Do I need to have any other hardware installed to use it.

My dell xps L401X is having a slot for SIM Card. What type of SIM can be used. Do I need to have any other hardware installed to use it.

Yes, you need a WWAN card and a data contract with a service provider (in the US, AT&T). The SIM card is standard but can't be used without these.

You need to purchase the WWAN card -- contact the service provider you have your data contract with for its monthly pricing and the hardware it supports (not all cards are supported by all providers).

I have Dell XPS L502X laptop. I found a sim card slot under the battery , i inserted
a GSM sim card and install two driver software 1. Dell Mobile Broadband Utility
2. Dell Mobile Broadband Manager from my driver disc. But device not found. i also open the easy
access cover of laptop and saw that a writing on black paper WWAN/TV . Tell me
how can i use this sim card slot or send any driver to use this slot
