Memory Test Failures (?)

Hi, I'm running Vista Home Premium on an Inspiron 1520 which is 2 weeks old. When I run the Dell memory tests most of them fail, i.e.

Address Test
Auxiliary Pattern Test
Modulo20 Test
Advanced Pattern Test
Nibble Move Test
Walking One Left Test
Bit High Test
Walking One Right Test
Checkerboard Test

All report the same error (index out of bounds)

But when I run the Windows memory diagnostics I don't receive any errors

Which should I believe?
Cheers

Call Dell and report the memory test errors. They will ship replacement RAM.

to be on the safe side I would try running memtest86 for at least 10 passes. use the free download link. http://www.memtest86.com/

alternatively you could just email dell support and tell them of the error. in all likelyhood they would send you new memory sticks.

Thanks for the replies. I've emailed tech support. Also downloaded memtest but haven't managed to create a bootable disk yet. I was hoping to boot it from my USB mem stick but install didn't seem to do anything when I specified the f: drive, which is what it always appears as.
