Latitude C840 - 1GB or 2GB maximum memory?
I read somewhere that at the time of Latitude 840C release, the largest SODIMMs were 512MB, limiting the laptop to 1GB maximum (2 x 512MB) , but that it will actually support 2GB maximum memory (2 x 1GB) . Is this correct?
Thanx in advance

Some have reported that 2G works - others not. It depends on your luck and on the quality of the memory.

I am happy to report that I have found 1GB memory modules that will work in the Latitude C840, bringing the total RAM to 2GB. They are from my IBM Thinkpad, hence the TP in the part #, they are Kingston KTM-TP9828/1G, PC2700 - 333 MHz 1GB sticks.
Thanx again ejn63
