Help with motherboard removal

I need to remove my motherboard on my Dell Inspiron 1200 to replace my DC power jack. I have everything in the computer out...except the motherboard. I can't figure out how to get it out. There are four screws still holding it in place. I would remove these, but they are coming up from underneath the motherboard...making it impossible to simply unscrew. How do I remove these screws? Thanks

Thanks, after looking at the manual, apparently the four screws aren't holding the motherboard down. I'm still having trouble getting it out, though. The very last step is what is confusing me. What is happening in the top left picture on this image?

Hi i can not understand that ether unless they are saying to hold it there and pull the mother board to the right then up and out.
I can,t tell because i do not know what the little block is in that picture is there something that goes through the side of the case?
Just guessing here !

Well...I finally got it out. I guess in the picture they are showing that you need to separate the plastic slightly in order to get it out. Now that I got it out...I have a new challenge. I need to figure out how to get the DC power jack off of the motherboard to put the new one in. Any ideas?

Thanks ejn63 for your reply !

And this is the only thing i could find that even came close to your question about removing parts from the board you can read it on this link and look at the pictures on it .
But the best advice is to let a pro do it thou !!!
As ejn63 said you can really mess up the board without the right equipment.:smileysad:

The jack is through-hole soldered to the board. You will need to unsolder the old one and solder the new one in.

If you do not have the equipment and expertise (low temperature soldering on multilayer board), leave it to a pro - if you try to hack it with a soldering iron you will likely wind up with a dead board.

A professional repair will run $150-200. A replacement board will cost about $400.
