Hard drive caddy screw

Hi,

About a month ago I sent my Inspiron 8100 back to Dell for repairs. I was told by Dell to remove the hard drive so as to avoid it getting damaged. However when I got round to putting it back I relized the hard drive caddy screw was missing. I've looked all over the web and haven't managed to find anything is it possible to get the part direct from Dell, if so how.

Thanks!

Exactly... which is why he should just go get one at the hardware store.... there shouldn't be too much of a problem finding the right size (i did)..... and it'll be heaps, heaps cheaper.

You should be able to find a compatible screw at your local Hardware.... I did when I needed a new screw for my i8500.

You could even try a local hobby shop.  If you get it directly from Dell, it will cost quite a bit for a $0.02 screw.

Hobby shop or even a sewing machine repair center.  This from the docs:
"Turn the computer over. Use a standard #1 Phillips screwdriver to remove the M3 x 3-mm screw."
