Hi vish1,

What is the current OS on the system? Could you explain in brief on how you formatted the system and reinstalled the OS? And could you also send us a screenshot of the device manager with display adapters expanded.

Update the BIOS from support.dell.com - http://dell.to/1Pwntme - enter the service tag and select drivers and downloads and run the BIOS update.

Also, download theAMD video drivers from the support site - http://dell.to/1I4LY2T  and try installing them. Ideally the drivers on the Dell support site would be comparatively older than the drivers available on the vendor, hence the older drivers are more stable and rate of failure to install will be very less.

If the video drivers from support site fail to install, capture the error code on a failed installation and send us the logs.

Download the video drivers from vendor site - http://www.amd.com/ - for your specific OS - download the mobility Radeon drivers / Catalyst Software control suite and the latest beta driver available. First try installing the catalyst suite. In case of a failure, then uninstall the program from control panel -> programs and features -> restart the system and then try installing the beta drivers.

Download MyDell - http://dell.to/1geXRp7 - and install. Then run a pccheckup -> custom scan -> stress test on the video card and make a note of any errors you might encounter.

Restart the system and keep tapping on f12 key and select diagnostics. Run the test and make a note of any errors that you might possibly encounter and reply with the error details.

Keep us updated.
