AC adapter - 65-watt versus 90-watt
I just purchased an Inspiron 8600 and noticed that there was an option to choose between a 65-watt AC adapter and a 90-watt adapter. Besides 25 watts, what is the difference between the two adapters?

Thank you for using Dell's Community Forum.
That is the only difference that I’m aware of, but that is an important difference because with the lower powering adaptor, you will not be able to charge your battery and run the system at the same time.

whaaa?? really? that's pathetic
DELL should make the higher rated adaptor Standard issue then, bcoz it's unacceptable to not be able to charge and use @ the same time.

What I meant was, it will trickle-charge the battery, but it will take a long time to charge that way.
