Logging of permissions
So, I'm desperately trying to find out, when and by who a specific permission was set on c$ share.
According to our provider, auditing is disabled, which they stated as their default configuration.
My only hope was, that this changes might be logged in the system protocols of Isilon.
Can anybody shed some light on these questions?
Thanks a lot in advance!

You need configuration auditing enabled to track this. Share permissions are tracked as part of the cluster configuration. File/directory permissions are tracked via protocol auditing. Both are off by default.
