Realtek Audio Driver Issue
I am having a strange audio related issue with my laptop which I have narrowed the source to be Realtek Audio Driver. Let me give you as many details as possible. The laptop is Inspiron 7559 and the headset is Corsair HS45 which I purchased yesterday new. The microphone issue happens when I try the mic test then it fails in both 3.5mm and using the USB sound adapter. I have tried pretty much everything with respect to adjusting the settings and trying old drivers including even an older version of BIOS. The strangest thing is this part. Whenever I press the button that turns on the microphone in the headset, then it automatically starts lowering the volume until it gets to zero almost like the software is pressing F2, the volume lowering control on the computer, repeatedly. It is definitely a software bug. If I keep the microphone button set to off, then it does not start lowering the volume. And, I uninstalled the Realtek drivers and the issue was resolved and the headset including microphone works great. The problem with this is that on the next system restart, the Windows 10 will install Realtek automatically and the issue happens all over again because there is a major bug with the driver. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, I noticed a lot of weird noise when I did a microphone test and not a word I said was actually recorded.
