Dell inspiron wifi issues with Rivet Network services.
So around 3-4 months ago I had some serious but weird issues with my wifi. I fixed them by disabling the services 1)Rivet Dynamic Bandwidth Management and 2)##ID_STRING86## in which the manufacturer is rivet. My ping in online games was better by almost 10ms without getting ridiculous 400 + ms quite often. The max wifi download speed was higher and more easy attainable through out my day and finally less drops from X download speed to 0. Over the months i tried to enable them(even after format) to see if the bugs/issues were fixed and even though the weird issues were somewhat solved(not the bad ping etc but some other nasty stuff that dont matter now). The experience is still bad compared to not having them enable. Why is dell even work aside with those problematic partners? OS was and is windows 10 and i get without those services far better wifi experience but somewhat worse experience than my ubuntu 16.04 default drivers.

You don't mention what system you have so we can only guess about your configuration.
If you were using a system with Intel or Realtek wireless, you may have a SmartByte driver for download. For my system it was just updated since the prior one had problems.
Currently, Dell has several systems with Killer Wireless devices on the market and are not replaceable, so it would appear that partnership situation will continue. Hopefully, software problems will be resolved in the near future.

Rivet Dynamic Bandwidth management is TERRIBLE!!!
Was killing my bandwidth. I have fiber to my house thanks to my amazing very local electric company.
With that lousy software running, the best download I had was 4-6 MB / S. Once I did the following:
Run Services.msc
Right click on Rivet Dynamic Bandwidth management.
Disable entirely.
Now my download is 35 MB/S and my upload is 35 MB/S.
Gosh what awful crapware.

I found that my Dell Insperon Laptop had slowed considerably. I was perplexed and went through all kinds of diagnostics. I was about to give up but luckily I found a folder containing software from Rivet Networks. It is obvious that Dell installed it as an update.
My computer had slowed from 30 mbps to 4.5 mbps. I uninstalled Rivet stuff and my computer is now running at the correct speed.. I am now sour on Dell. I wonder how many agravated customers Dell has created.

When I was testing a killer wireless card, I would get popups or notifications that I needed to set my ISP speeds in their utility. I have passed this along to both Dell and Rivet but once I did that, my bandwidth dropped to 1/4th of the actual speed.
I had to set it back to a speed higher than my actual bandwidth for it to work again.

Trust me it's not just Dell. Hp, Lenovo, Acer, etc. all install their version of various software and "enhancements". One of the first things to do with a new system is clean install the OS. Then keep a watchful eye on updates from the manufacturers. Some of it useful and, as you found out, some of it not so much.

My computer kept disconnecting from wifi, and I managed to fix that (thanks google) by not allowing some program to turn it off. It's been a week or so and so far I have remained connected.
This morning I have a message from my virus scan
List of blocked modules
RNDBWM.exe
Then a list of 5 instances for
KillerNetworkServicePS.dll
C:\Program Files\Rivet Newtorks\SmartByte\
So right now I assume my scanner has blocked them, is there any other action I should do? (All my computer knowledge is from googles, and google brought me here, so I don't always understand what y'all are mean in these threads :) ) But it seems to perhaps be related to this thread? Ideas? Should I just leave blocked, should I do something more?

The file you reference is part of the SmartByte software which was causing sound distortions on many systems. If you have a Killer Wireless card, in addition to the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers there is a Suite which might be installed. SmartByte software may also be installed on systems with Intel or Realtek Wi-Fi but I do not know if this includes the Killer suite.
This should be listed in the Programs and Features dialog where you can uninstall if you want.
I do not know the current situation with SmartByte since I don't run it currently but I am a little surprised an anti-virus program would block it.

Would any of this make the computer randomly disconnect from wifi? I thought I had fixed it but it's back today- other devices are hooked to the wifi and working fine, so it's not the actual wifi, its the laptop.
Im just not sure where I would look to try to find out what is doing this.
