Dell Inspiron 17R Special Edition 7720 upgrade RAM to 16 GB (2x8GB)

I bought Dell Inspiron 17R SE 7720 in 2013. I would like to inform that this laptop can be upgraded up to 16 GB (2 x 8GB). I  just replaced the original RAM SK Hynix 2 x 4GB PC3 12800S 2Rx8 SODIMM with Kingston 2 x 8GB PC3L 12800S 2Rx8 DDR3L 1600MHZ SODIMM.

The laptop's motherboard can accept 1.5v (PC3 Hynix) or 1.35v (PC3L Kingston) RAM without any problem. It's perfomance with 16GB RAM is so much better than before and has never shown low memory or crash/hang again. (Windows 10).

Great! It's good to hear that you were able to upgrade your RAM successfully. Upgrading the RAM can greatly improve the performance of a laptop, especially if you are using memory-intensive applications or operating systems. Thanks for sharing your experience with the Dell Inspiron 17R SE 7720, it might be helpful for others who might have the same laptop.

Hello...just to be clearer about the voltage compatibility...would 1.35v memories work well?
