USB Wacom Tablet Device Driver Install Problems

My notebook is I8600 with Windows XP Home and I have problem to get the Wacom tablet device driver to recognise the tablet upon install, so the driver refused to install.  The red LED is on after I connected the tablet to the I 8600 USB port it means the tablet is receiving power.  The mouse pointer even following the movement of the pen without the driver.  The same tablet work on my other destop machine.  Do I need to remove some pre installed USB driver in the I8600 in order to get Wacom driver to recognise the tablet?  Appreciate for any advices you can offer, thanks!
