Dell Compatibility with Dragon Naturally Speaking

I was informed by a Dell Technical Support Technician that Dell laptops are not compatible with Dragon Naturally Speaking software.  I have been unable to find any documentation on this matter.  I have also contact Nuance and they were unaware of this as well.  I do use this speech-to-text program and can certainly attest to having numerous issues with my Dell laptop.  Has anybody else experienced shut downs with Dragon?  Is there any written documentation on this?  (I am an assistive technologist and have been warning all my clients about this issue, advising those using Dragon to avoid Dell due to what I've heard from Dell, but would like to have more information on the matter in order to educate my clients on the specifics of the situation.)

Thanks for any and all help.

"Dell laptops are not compatible with Dragon Naturally Speaking software."

I think the operative phrase is "Dell does not sell or support  Dragon Naturally Speaking software."

I can think of no reason why "Dell laptops are not compatible" since they use the same Intel and AMD parts

that other vendors use."

They do say this about some hardware.

"legacy" devices are fully compatible with Dragon NaturallySpeaking and have been successfully tested in the past but are no longer commercially available.

The install process checks that your system meets the minimum requirements; if they are not met, Dragon NaturallySpeaking will not be installed.

I can think of no reason either, but this was the information given to me by Technical Support.  I've had multiple issues with my laptop and was told by Tech Support that it is because of my Dragon software - but can find no reference to this anywhere else.   I'm beginning to think it was tech support's way of saying that they don't know what's wrong with my computer...
