XPS8300 Video problems

I recently installed a Window 7 Ultimate 64 Bit OS and when I go to install the Intel Sandy Bridge Graphics, v.8.15.10.2253, A02 driver the system message says failed to install the driver.  This is the driver that the Dell Utility that analyzed my system indicated was the appropriate driver.

Below is a post of the original configuration info from my service tag.  The system has not been modified so this should tell me what video my system came with.   Can someone please tell me which driver I need.

Thank you!

Edit your post to remove the tag. Personal info like service tags are not allowed in the forum. What you must include in the top of the post is your model computer and what operating system came installed. That long packing list is not informative at all and should be removed. It says nothing about your setup. Look at System Info or Device Manager instead.

The driver list is not a utility and is not a recommendation. You have to be aware of what hardware you have and which drivers apply. The list contains everything that might apply for your model. Did you change from windows 8 to win 7? Sandy bridge driver you mention is the driver is for integrated graphics. You probably don't need that if you have a monitor.

If you haven't already, I suggest installing all the Windows patches and service packs. Afterwards, go to Intel's download site and download the latest version of their integrated graphics driver.

I ran the Dell application that suggest which drivers to install.   Currently the system is using the Windows 7 generic driver.  I can't see in device manager what graphics the system has.  It was orginally Win 7 Premium.  I am now trying ultimate 64 bit.

How did you know to use the Intel Driver?

With my XPS 8500, I had the best results with the Intel driver. You can download it from Intel's download site. I also suggest downloading and installing the latest version of Intel's chipset software, which can be obtained the same way.
