Quick Questions

Previous message didn't get a resolution, so I'm simply having to cope. But, I do still need to know one or two things.

Is there a way to set certain programs on open on certain screens every time with the nview software for the geforce 6800? For that matter, is nview from nvidia the only software compatible with this card? I'm highly unhappy with it.

Is there a way to change the settings so that the windows will recognize the entire desktop?

See this thread for background info:

I tried to redo the drivers and that didn't work. Any advice?

Really? I like the nView technology alot myself.

For your first question, there is a way. Once the program is opened, right click on it on your taskbar, and select the following.

nView Options > Individual settings > Edit...

From there, you should see a drop down list in that window for Open Windows on Display (since global is an option, there's also a way to do this globally, but you asked about program specifics). Here's an alternate way for configuring the defaults too. Right click on the desktop and select nView Options. Once the new window opens, select the tab at the top that says "windows". There will be a dropdown list under "Open windows on" for global settings.

Use the above method for individual settings. There's a way to set this up before opening the program, but I forgot how. The above method still works too, but you'll need to live through each opening by default one last time (better than always I suppose though).

I'm not fully understanding your second question. Do you mean the window of the aplication doesn't cover the whole screen upon opening?

I tried once more, just in case I was mistaken and did your suggestion by going to the individual settings through right click. I changed the settings, and it had no effect. So, I right clicked again and found that the settings I had just changed had reverted back to the incorrect settings. (I changed the setting to open on display 2 and it reverted back to display 1 on its own)

Thanks for the reply...

I tried changing its individual settings and that didn't work. I set it to open upon display 2 and it still opens on display 1. which is one of the reasons I'm so annoyed with the software.

As for my second question, when maximizing a window, it leaves about an inch wide gap at the top and a smaller gap at the left side. when maximized, it wont even drag into that area.
