Labtec wireless keyboard and mouse

Question

I have a dimension 5150 and want to use my labtec power wireless desktop plus keyboard and mouse but they do not respond when instaled.Mouse goes all over the screen and keyboard dead.I have tried reinstaling drivers but no joy. Any help please

Batteries fully charged/new. signals synced.connected via ps2-usb addaptor

Could be the PS/2>USB connection. Some times those just don't work correctly. Or you may need an 'active' PS/2>USB adaptor. Ron
