IDE config error.
Getting this error message:
Performing automatic IDE configuration...
Type the system password and press
Enter password: _
I've taken out the BIOS battery overnight. Changed the jumpers, and it didn't even boot...so changed them back.
Dimension E520
Win 7 Pro (x86)
2 GB Ram
Internal chipset for the rest.
Anyone have any ideas how I can fix this?

By the way, I can't even get to BIOS. Can't get to boot menu. It just takes me RIGHT to this window and I can't get past it. Need some help. Been at this PC for 3 weeks.

Hi ellsy82,
What is the status of the Power button LED and the Diagnostic LEDs located at the front of the system?
You may try clearing the CMOS settings if not done yet and see if it works. Drain the residual power from the system:
To clear the CMOS settings, try the steps below.
You may refer to the system manual for more information. The link for the manual is http://bit.ly/VkdC84.
Please refer to the Service Manual of this system for instructions on assembling and dis-assembling the hardware components. Follow the 'Safety Guidelines' listed on the manual to help protect your computer from potential damage and to help ensure your own personal safety.
Hope this helps. Please feel free to reply for any further assistance.
