Dell PC Angel Notifer / Nag Screen issues?
Hello
Do you have a problem with PC Angel or a Nag Screen that you can not get rid of in the lower Right Hand Corner of your screen because you can not see enough of it to click a button to make it go away. Well after spending over 2.5 hours and 2 plus days reinstalling software after Dell replaced my Hard Drive, of which the hard drive was actually fine.
I have the 2 minute solution, which the Dell tech would not tell me yet I was able to figure it out.
Dell Tech Support is unaware that the factory installs PC Angel software to put the nag screens for DataSafe and other features. One of the upsetting issues is if you have your display setting set to something larger then default then the nag screens, which are unmovable, are so big that they are not fully viewable and you can not click the button to make them go away.
Solution is go to control panel pick Display and use the default setting of medium and then hit apply. Then you have to log back in and you will see the nag screen full size and click the button of your choice, I choose the "do not notify me again button, then you can go back and reset your display size, I use 150%. Click apply and log back in.
There you go, this will save you several hours of messing with Dell Tech support, maybe even having them send out a tech to replace your hard drive so you can spend a couple of days reinstalling your programs, etc. Which is what happened to me then having the same problem reoccur as the on Tech support person I worked with would not tell me what he did even when I asked.

Hi Krisstar,
This is the hardware forum and your solution involves software. So you might want to post in the software forums.
However, you do get a gold star for outsmarting the half witted Dell techs.
