JTM: If it's in the C:\Windows\Temp folder then it's probably left over from one install or another. If you're nervous about deleting anything you're not sure about move it to the Recycle Bin for a day or two to make sure everything works okay before deleting it completely off your system...........

I have a "C:\Temp" File on my drive to use as a "warehouse" for all old files, files that I remove from the drive but am not sure if it's OK to remove them, and a storage for installed programs that I want to save and move to a Zip disk later on. Moving questionable files to a "real" folder, you will have full control over how long you want to keep it before moving or deleting it. Most of the time I have more than 1 "C:\TEMP" folder for different types of items (C:\Temp1, C:\Temp2, etc.).
Hi
The temp file is fair game..it is a good idea to move to recycle bin for a few days..
Better to be safe than sorry,at least this time, next time you should be able to know by the dates and file names that it is safe to get did of the junk...

To Bill...Is it also true that if I think not ,then I am not??
