Alert! System battery voltage low...

Upon startup, intermittently, I get this message:

Alert! System battery voltage low.
Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility.

I strike F1 and the system always runs without problem.  Question:  What does this message mean?  Is there any problem I need to address?
TIA

I means the system battery voltage is low. To fix this error, try replacing the battery.

Are you talking about the CMOS?

So, what's to be done about it, in any case?  I've never seen this message before in 10 years of computer work...

Open the cover and find out where the battery is and replace it.

You must be careful or you will break the socket that the battery is in.

Is this a battery that one can get anywhere, or is it a special-order item? I don't think I've ever seen a battery inside, but then I wasn't looking for one. Does changing this out cause anything to reset or need resetting?

Most batterys of this Genre are Lithium Coin Cells. Radio Shack usually carrys these for about $4.

Since you didnt provide a model number or service tag its impossible to tell you exactly where this is or what the model number of the battery is.

No such thing as one size fits all everywhere every model every vendor forever.

The Battery is Item 4.  Looks like a CR2032 Coin Cell but you will need to open the cover and see.

You still did not provide enough information.  There is more than one kind of 360 and the Service TAG/Serial Number is an easy way to tell.

Item 4 is the battery.

You can just take the battery out, take it to radio shack, and they will match it up for you.
