1901FP Monitor - how to switch it to accept digital input

Does anyone know how to tell my 1901FP monitor that I want it to accept digital input?  I've been using the analog cable for three years and I want to try the DVI cable that Dell provided with the monitor.  However, when I hook up the DVI cable and take out the analog cable, I get nothing.  There's three small buttons on the lower right border of the screen, but the menus aren't very intuitive.  I can't believe Dell would be so careless as to not provide step by step instructions on how to tell the monitor to accept digital input!!!

The second button from the left switches you between analog and digital mode.

I'm not trying to be a wise guy, and I hope this doesn't sound like a dumb question, but I see only three buttons. One has a plus sign, one has a minus sign, and one has nothing. When you say "the second button from the left," are you talking about the middle button? I just want to make sure you're not talking about a newer version of the monitor that has more buttons (I see a lot of those where I work).

I'm sorry when I counted the buttons I counted the power button. It would be the middle button. I have the same monitor you have and it works for me.
