Do NOT try placing an order with Dell using Bitcoin!
On Feb 26th I placed an order with Dell.com and selected Bitcoin for the payment option. When I hit the button to place the order, I was told the transaction could not be processed, but my Coinbase account had shown that it had sent the Bitcoin. The following morning i received an email from Dell.com saying that they had received my payment , and asked for the order details. I provided the details, and asked them to create the order. I waited another day, and still no order had been created. I tried calling customer support, and not a single person could offer me any help. after two hours, not only was I not ever transferred to anybody who could speak proper English, but not a single person was able to offer any help what so ever. On March 4th, 5 days later, I finally received assistance from Coinbase, I received an email from Dell.com saying that they were going to send me a refund check. Now Bitcoin had gone upp $100 dollars by this point, so it was obvious what they were trying to pull. I responded saying that i wanted my refund to be sent in Bitcoin. The next day I finally received an email saying that a Bitcoin refund had been initiated, and that i would not receive my Bitcoin for another 5 business days. So this entire ordeal will have ended up tying my Bitcoin up for 2 weeks. I would not advise ever doing business with Dell, and would not use Coinbase to process any purchases made online.

I've done facebook, supposedly I'll hear something back by Tuesday, but I was supposed to receive a call on friday, which never happened. When calling into Customer Dis-Service, they assured me I would be contacted, but couldn't provide any form of reference/case number, so I'm thinking I'm out of luck on that front. I did send some emails to some higher-ups, I just hope I get a response back.

I'm going through this exact issue with bitcoin, with the exception Dell is not even acknowledging the payment even though I have given them the BTC transaction ID multiple times. I hope you at least got your BTC back...

Good luck with that, should be no reason why it would take 3 days for them to login to coinbase and send the BTC back to the address you provided.

Yeah you are screwed, don't see how a company like this can have absolutely zero customer support. But you can say good bye to your Bitcoin for about two weeks. I should have mine back in 3 days or so, or so they tell me. I'll let you know if I get it back.
