Why is it okay that a sales associate can lie about financing and promotions and customer care doesn't care and suggests that you just return the item? It's truly frustrating when you spend 5 hours being transferred from department to department (in the Philippines no less) and are offered an insult! I guess that Dell no longer cares about their customers.

I purchased a printer and was told that I would qualify for 6 mos. same as cash promo (if I made a bigger purchase).  Come to find out when I received my bill, the promo wasn't applied. The salesman lied to me about the nonexistent promotion. After 5 hours of phone tag, I am told that there is no such promo on printers and told to return the printer if I wasn't happy about not having the promo. Now I have to pay interest on the purchase and then offered $40 to cover my $50 interest fees. Now I have taken the offer of $50 but can't receive an email confirmation after the second phone of an hour (to which I was told that I didn't take the offer) so I am thinking that I will never see that offer of $50. Is there anyone else that is frustrated with Dell's "wonderful" (insert comical laugh) customer service and sales department?
