I got it working! The driver pod was not failing at all, it was the registrar pod. Problem was the Unity still had old hosts built in it from the failed attempts. Cleared those out and it finally worked. Also other prereqs were not in place (Did not have the iscsi initiators set up on the nodes correctly to begin with) There were other issues as well, I will make a new post detailing tips and tricks for others.
@storage-dude - Did you create the detailed post on this issue? Can you please explain what is old hosts built in it from failed attempts and where to clear?
